This term, we began our new topic of Weather and Climate. In order to learn about different natural disasters, we have looked at a lot of material in Guided Reading session and, most excitingly, have made our own volcanoes out of salt dough and made them erupt! This gave the children a really good idea about what the different types of explosions are like and how this turns contributes to their overall shape.
In the run up to Christmas, we were asked by Mother Christmas to design a sleigh for poorly Father Christmas. They created junk model sleighs; wrote instructions and even sent an advert to Mother Christmas to decide which one the winning sleigh was.
