Year 3 have had an interesting time learning about volcanoes around the world. The children were fascinated to learn about how volcanoes can be useful to mankind but how they can also cause such devastation. Hassan bought in a fantastic model of a volcano which he had made at home. We enjoyed watching it, ‘erupt!’ The children experimented with paint colour mixing and produced a whole spectrum of hot and cold colours. We then went on to use these colours in our, ‘Volcano Paintings.

This term we have been learning all about multiplication and division in maths.

One of the highlights of this term was our trip out to the, ‘Christmas Experience’ in Holy Trinity Church in Hotwells. There we learnt all about the Christmas Story in a fun, interactive way which used all our senses! Our hosts were so welcoming and kind to us.
