Maple Class have had an excellent term of learning and experiences. Our English lessons have seen some outstanding portrayals of a journey that captures the various features of a river. We have also written detailed fact files on bats relating to our talk for writing unit. In mathematics, we have surfed through money with many of the children enjoying activities such as ‘Grumpy shopkeeper, matching pairs, party planner and royal reasoning’.
Topic lessons have been so enjoyable with our shadow theatre creations and performances, our sensory experiments on different rocks and writing up our reports on our findings.
Our RE lessons have been so exhilarating. We acted out the story of Rama and Sita, learnt about the Hindu Gods and made links between them and our personalities. We consolidated our understanding with an amazing trip to a Hindu Temple where the children asked their final questions on the topic. Another fantastic term for Maple Class, Mr Smith cannot wait for the next one! Enjoy the break you thoroughly deserve it
