Maple class have had a wonderful term of learning. We have followed the story of Jack and the Beanstalk: writing innovated tales and our own adventure stories in search of a ‘Magic Ring’. We have written some amazing Haikus on the topic of Christmas and even written instructions on how to put on a Nativity. Maple learners have breezed through their addition and subtraction focus and are now getting stuck into multiplication and division. All members of Year 3 have had fantastic attitude towards all areas of learning in Maths. Our topic of the UK has seen us learning some basic map skills and directional instructions from our topic book ‘At the Beach’ by Roland Harvey. We have written fact files on UK mountains and written poetry by using the language associated with the coast. We have had some excellent trips, a sound workshop preparing us for the Year 4 focus next year and ‘The Christmas Experience’, which was a lovely insight into the story of Jesus Christ and why it is important to Christians. Well done Maple class, wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
