If you have been offered and/or accepted a place with us, we will contact you in May or early June with information about the start of the school year in September.

Children in Oak Class will enjoy a phased entry into school in September which will include: attending morning, lunch and afternoon sessions. The phased entry allows our Early Years team to ensure that every child is settled into the start of their school life.

If you would like to apply for a place in our school during the school year, this is known as ‘In-Year admission’.

When you have received notification that you have been allocated a place here at St. Michael’s, by the School Admissions Department at Bristol City Council,  please contact us, to arrange a visit and/or start date. Please also record your response via the Online Parent Portal, the link is above.

Upon arival to school on your child(ren)’s first morning, please bring your child(ren)’s passport and/or your child(ren)’s birth certificate.

Oak Class open sessions and times will be published in October, ready to meet the 15 January (every year) deadline.



If your child(ren) was born between 1 September 2008 and 31 August 2009 you need to apply for a new Year 7 secondary school place.  This applies to all children in Birch Class.

To apply online you’ll need to register for an account on the School Admissions Parent Portal.  Once registered, you will recieve an email confirmation of your application. The closing date for applications is Thursday 31 October 2019.

Offers of school places for ontime applications will be sent from the school admissions team: 2 March 2020.
